What does Training of Trainers look like?

Course Units
Organised in 3 sections: Group Management, Environment Management and Community Management. Every Thursday, 10-11 a.m. EAT, between the 11th of July and the 12th of September.
Action Points are outlined at the end of every session and must be implemented in peer groups.

Check-in Chatter
There will be follow-up sessions every two units to examine the practical implementation until September 15th. The Action Points' results will be discussed, implementation obstacles will be resolved, and mitigation strategies developed.

Check-in Coaching
Support is offered on a monthly basis through coaching meetings, between September 2024 and July 2025. Participants implement the learned concept in practice within the communities in Somalia and Somaliland.
Completion certificate
will be granted to all who successfully and actively participate throughout the training. Action Points must all be completed and the minimum presence requirement of 80% fulfilled.
Goals
Equip trainers and facilitators with essential knowledge and skills supporting
EMGs in restoring rangelands, forests and landscapes
Develop the institutional mechanisms to increase the likelihood of EMGs to
sustain their existence beyond the duration of the project
Provide participants with strategies and tools to engage communities in
restoration activities through environmental management groups
Background
The objective of the OASIS project is to address the many and diverse obstacles to local food system resilience of the marginalized vulnerable communities in disaster-prone, rural by enhancing their access to sustainable food production and food systems resilience in Somalia.
